The Restaurant Manager is a hospitality-minded individual with a personal and professional commitment to excellence and elevated service, and consistent consideration for others.


As a member of the Food and Beverage leadership team you are a critical contributor to the success of our business. You exude professionalism and are proactive, anticipatory, and ardently committed to our hospitality service standards.


Strong candidates will have expertise in fine dining service, a deep knowledge of food and beverages, and will have excellent leadership skills. The Restaurant Manager must be resourceful, thoughtful, considerate, and organized to best represent our dining space and culinary concepts.


Duties & Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations:

  • Lead daily floor operations to ensure luxury-level guest service, quality standards, and guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee daily scheduling, timekeeping, breaks, and shift coverage.
  • Ensure tables, stations and service areas are properly set and maintained.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction, address concerns, and resolve service issues promptly.
  • Monitor pacing of service and coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
  • Expertly use the reservations and POS platforms.
  • Provide hands-on support to demonstrate leadership presence and service excellence.
  • Maximize profitability in all areas by monitoring labor costs, discounting, and operational expenses.
  • Monitor inventory levels of china, glassware, flatware, linens, and other service supplies and request replenishment as needed.
  • Support VIP and special event service as needed.


Team member management:

  • Manage and coach service team members, including the server, busser, host, bartender, and assistant manager roles.
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities that result in a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, gracious guest service, and exceptional hospitality.
  • Lead by example with expertise in all aspects of restaurant service, including menu and beverage knowledge, seating plan management, reservations, service guidelines and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with labor, health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Follow rules and regulations of The Allison Inn and Spa Food and Beverage Division.


Job Skills/Requirements/Qualifications

  • 2+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience, fine dining preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate service teams.
  • Strong understanding of fine dining service, and food, wine, and beverage service standards in a luxury environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation.

Working conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds of heavy wine, boxes, supplies.
  • Ability to carry up to 25 pounds across the distance of the various dining areas.
  • Ability to reach with hand and arms, sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb throughout the property, be in refrigerated areas, and to talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The noise level is moderate.
  • The work environment has frequent temperature swings as the team member moves between guest spaces, outdoors, and refrigerators for example.
