This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Especialista Tributário based in Brazil.

This is an opportunity to play a strategic role in tax planning, compliance, and value creation within a leading Brazilian pharmaceutical environment.
You will identify tax opportunities, develop recovery and fiscal review initiatives, and support projects designed to improve financial performance.
The role combines technical tax expertise with business-oriented analysis, risk assessment, and strategic decision-making.
You will monitor legislative and judicial developments and translate their potential impact into practical recommendations.
Close collaboration with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and other business areas will be essential to delivering integrated solutions.
The position is fully remote, based in São Paulo, with a flexible administrative schedule from Monday to Friday.
It is well suited to a proactive tax professional who enjoys solving complex challenges and contributing to high-impact initiatives.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement tax opportunity projects focused on incentives, tax benefits, lawful tax optimization, and accelerated tax savings, presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Manage tax-related judicial proceedings in alignment with the organization's broader tax planning strategy.
  • Monitor major tax matters and legal positions under discussion before Brazil's higher courts and administrative bodies, assessing their relevance and applicability to the business.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for administrative and judicial tax strategies, considering risk, probability of success, and potential financial impact.
  • Lead tax recovery and fiscal review projects, identifying opportunities to recover amounts and improve tax efficiency.
  • Analyze taxes applicable to financial and business operations, providing technically sound recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure integrated and effective tax processes.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and evaluate their potential operational and financial impact, recommending appropriate actions.
  • Participate in special tax projects, providing analysis and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
  • Maintain effective relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay current with tax developments through professional training, workshops, conferences, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Postgraduate degree or MBA in Tax Law, Tax Planning, Tax Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Brazilian tax legislation and its practical interpretation and application.
  • Professional experience with indirect taxes and tax-related projects.
  • Experience working with SAP, particularly the SD, FI, and MM modules.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business-oriented thinking, with the ability to assess tax opportunities, risks, and potential financial outcomes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical tax matters clearly to both specialist and senior audiences.
  • Proactive, organized, and adaptable approach, with a commitment to continuous learning and staying current with regulatory developments.
  • Advanced Excel skills are considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and Business Intelligence tools is desirable.
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
