Position Overview:
This position will be based out of our San Luis Obispo, CA location.
We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail oriented individual to join our team in a part time capacity. This role is essential to our operations team, supporting solar installations through timely and accurate permitting processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit permit applications to local AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction)
- Track permit progress and proactively follow up with jurisdictions to ensure timely approvals
- Maintain an organized digital and physical filing system of all permits and inspection documents
- Communicate with customers, project managers, and utility companies regarding inspection scheduling and requirements
- Coordinate with engineers and design teams to ensure permit packages are complete and code compliant
- Maintain a thorough understanding of local codes and jurisdiction specific requirements
- Other permitting and interconnection tasks as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a permitting or administrative support role (solar or construction industry a plus)
- Proficiency in Google Workspace
- Strong communication, proactiveness, and organizational skills
- Ability to research questions and find answers independently and with urgency
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, team oriented environment
Pay for this position is $23 to $28 per hour, depending on experience. This role is eligible for free Teladoc (general medical and mental health) sessions.
This role will be posted until September 25, 2026 at a minimum, or until the role is filled.
The pay range for this role is:
23 - 28 USD per hour(San Luis Obispo)
