Home Daily - Five-Day Workweek
Chicagoland Routes

CDN Logistics is hiring experienced CDL Class B Drivers to provide local pickup and delivery service throughout the Chicagoland area. This is a full-time, home-daily position operating a straight truck and serving commercial & residential customers across one of the country’s busiest transportation markets.

Our Pickup and Delivery Drivers are trusted to represent the company in a professional manner at every customer location. The role requires safe driving, dependable attendance, careful freight handling, and professional communication with customers, dispatchers, dock personnel, and other drivers.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
• Local pickup and delivery routes throughout Chicagoland
• Home daily
• Five scheduled workdays each week
• Company-owned & leased straight-truck equipment

• Support from experienced dispatch, operations, dock, and maintenance teams

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Safely operate a CDL Class B straight truck throughout the Chicagoland area
• Complete scheduled commercial & residential freight pickups and deliveries accurately and on time
• Navigate city streets, expressways, customer yards, docks, and other congested operating environments
• Perform required pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Verify freight, shipping documents, pickup information, and delivery details
• Properly position, secure, and protect freight while in transit
• Load, unload, and move freight using pallet jacks, liftgates, or other available equipment
• Obtain required signatures and accurately complete electronic and written delivery records
• Maintain communication with dispatch regarding completed stops, delays, exceptions, damaged freight, or changing customer conditions
• Provide courteous, professional service at customer locations
• Comply with DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, company safety standards, and established operating procedures
• Promptly report accidents, injuries, cargo damage, equipment concerns, and other service or safety issues

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License
• Current DOT medical certification
• We require 2 years of recent, verifiable commercial driving experience
• Straight-truck and local pickup and delivery experience strongly preferred
• Acceptable motor vehicle record and safety history under company standards
• Ability to satisfy all DOT and company qualification requirements
• Ability to pass required pre-employment drug testing, background screening, and FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse review & DOT Physical
• Working knowledge of DOT safety rules, vehicle inspections, cargo securement, and Hours of Service requirements
• Ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle in dense city traffic and changing weather conditions
• Ability to use electronic logging, dispatch, navigation, and proof-of-delivery technology
• Ability to read and understand shipping documents, delivery instructions, street signs, and safety information
• Dependable attendance and the ability to report for scheduled dispatch times
• Professional communication and customer-service skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is an active pickup and delivery position. Drivers must be able to safely enter and exit the truck throughout the workday; sit and drive for extended periods; bend, reach, climb, and work around freight; and push, pull, maneuver, and secure freight using pallet jacks, liftgates, and other material-handling equipment. Drivers may be required to lift or carry freight weighing up to [insert approved weight] pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

SCHEDULE
This is a full-time, five-day-per-week position. Dispatch and completion times may vary based on assigned routes, freight volume, traffic, weather, customer requirements, and Hours of Service availability.
