Summary of Position

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative learning professional to help develop and support a comprehensive onboarding journey for new employees. This role is pivotal in shaping the initial experiences of our new hires, ensuring they feel welcomed, informed, and empowered to contribute to our mission. You will design, deliver, and support innovative onboarding experiences to build a diverse and agile workforce. Your commitment to continuous improvement, focus on scalability, and collaboration with managers will drive the evolution of our onboarding practices, ultimately strengthening our team's capacity to serve more individuals and amplify our impact.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Training, Communication, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Training and Learning Development, or comparable/relevant experience. Experience working in a leadership position for Goodwill can be considered suitable alternative experience.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 tools (or related software).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, identify improvements, and make simple decisions independently.
  • Commitment to compliance, confidentiality, and high ethical standards.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to meet the diverse needs and backgrounds of new employees.
  • Current knowledge of, or ability to learn, effective learning and development methods, with the ability to design and produce relevant training materials, including eLearning courses/materials
  • Demonstrate affinity with employee learning and learning technologies
  • Preferred: Fluent (written and oral) in French or Spanish.
  • Must be able to meet criminal background check requirements

Essential Duties

  • Maintain and update onboarding and orientation materials and processes to ensure alignment with policies, employee handbook, and accreditation requirements.
  • Facilitate introductions and connections and coordinate onboarding pathways and schedules.
  • Manage comprehensive onboarding pathway and corresponding documentation.
  • Craft communications for onboarding/orientation agendas and logistics.
  • Deliver orientations to introduce new hires to the company mission, values, culture, policies, and benefits.
  • Coordinate resources to support, and document processes for scalability and replication.
  • Coordinate resources, support, and conduct orientation sessions.
  • Identify innovative and creative new ways to onboard new employees and create a more scalable and measurable onboarding experience.
  • Collaborate with managers across the organization to update and improve onboarding experiences to meet evolving needs.
  • Create and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and efficiency of the onboarding process.
  • Establish a regular feedback loop with new hires to continuously improve the onboarding process. Serve as the main point of contact for new hires, answering questions and addressing concerns during the onboarding process.
  • Design and implement activities or programs that help new employees understand and integrate into the organizational culture and values.
  • Ensure all new hire paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
