The purpose of this position is to provide supervisory oversight of base operations support services (BOSS) to the U.S. Army at the Forward Operating Site, Apiay Luis Gomez Nino Air Base Apiay, Colombia. To ensure that facilities remain in top condition, the Army requires BOSS that includes non-personal services such as repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment, grounds maintenance, housekeeping/janitorial services, administrative support, property accountability, cargo movement, and management of billeting facilities. During this time, this position will support the Army tenants of the billeting facilities in ensuring that the facilities are cleaned and well-maintained for their stay.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of the position will include but not limited to:

• Supervise and manage the assigned personnel on the team
• Manage and execute various facility maintenance work orders
• Escort guests and VIPs and facilitate base access
• Oversee all accountability for property both government and contractor owned
• Ability to manage and facilitate base operations support services
• Conduct procurement activities for specialized vendor support
• Ability to read, understand and apply trade or administrative guides such as technical manuals, technical orders, blueprints, sketches, and other related documents

• Ability to lift, reach, bend, walk, pull, sit, stand, crouch, stoop, kneel and stretch for prolonged periods of time. May be required to work in cramped, awkward and strained positions or required to climb ladders, work platforms, scaffolding and aircraft structures

• Knowledge, skill and ability to follow appropriate safety procedures common to the trade.

• Knowledge of specific hazardous materials and hazardous wastes procedures is necessary, including the proper fitting and usage of protective gear and completion of related training

• Must be able to carry items up to 40 pounds or heavier with assistance from other workers or weightlifting devices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a Supervisory / Management capacity.
• Minimum of four (4) years of background experience in a facility / equipment maintenance and base operations support
• Maintains a Secret security clearance.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to speak, read, and write Spanish at a 2/Level 2+ proficiency level.
• Licensed with the ability to operate a motor vehicle and other various vehicles

Full-time Day Shift: 08:00am to 17:00pm

Pay Rate: $105,000.00/annually
