This role is a foundational data operations position responsible for building and maintaining a high-quality, structured education data ecosystem that powers a global student-facing platform. The Data & Content Operation Specialist ensures that critical academic information—such as university profiles, admission requirements, deadlines, essays, competitions, and summer programs—is accurate, up to date, and consistently formatted. You will work with a wide range of official sources to collect, validate, and structure complex educational data into product-ready formats that directly support student planning and application journeys. The role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to evaluate data reliability across multiple sources. You will collaborate closely with product and content teams to improve data workflows, expand coverage, and ensure long-term scalability of the platform’s knowledge base. This is a detail-driven, impact-oriented role where data quality directly influences thousands of students’ academic decisions worldwide.
- Collect, update, and maintain structured education data including university profiles, admissions requirements, program details, deadlines, and application materials.
- Research and verify information using official sources such as university websites, admissions portals, PDFs, and program documentation.
- Ensure all data is accurately structured, formatted, and aligned with internal templates for seamless product integration.
- Maintain high-frequency update categories such as deadlines, essay prompts, program availability, and competition timelines.
- Identify and flag inconsistencies, missing data, or conflicting information and coordinate with internal teams for resolution.
- Build and support standardized data workflows, including sourcing rules, validation processes, and quality control mechanisms.
- Support expansion of data coverage across new categories based on product and business needs.
- Document all sources and maintain traceability for data accuracy and auditing purposes.
Requirements:
- Strong English reading and comprehension skills, with the ability to interpret complex academic and admissions content.
- Experience in research, data collection, content operations, or structured data management roles.
- High attention to detail with strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and data quality.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, or similar data management systems.
- Ability to follow structured workflows and perform repetitive, precision-driven data tasks reliably.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills to evaluate and cross-check information from multiple sources.
- Good written communication skills for documenting issues, updates, and data uncertainties.
- Familiarity with international education systems (US, UK, Canada, Australia) is a strong advantage.
- Prior experience in education, study abroad consulting, or database/content operations is a plus.
