Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment, Heavy Truck and Light Vehicle technician to maintain and repair John Deere, Cat, Peterbilt, and competitive products, as well as Dodge, Chevrolet, and Ford vehicles. In this position you will ensure operational efficiency and longevity of our equipment in the shop and occasionally an emergency field call. The ideal candidate is someone that can work alone and is self-motivated. Candidate needs to understand heavy equipment, heavy trucks and light vehicles but, also demonstrates a strong problem-solving ability, diagnoses skills and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician in the construction industry.
Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle, Light Vehicle Technician.
Familiarity with various types of machinery and heavy equipment.
Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, Heavy Equipment Mechanic Certification) are preferred.
Maintains current knowledge of John Deere, Cat, Peterbilt and competitive equipment.
Maintains knowledge light vehicle repair.
Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory and shop tools.
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Completes all work orders and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
Requirements:
Must have your own tools.
Conduct routine and scheduled maintenance of heavy equipment and vehicles.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines.
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs or replace defective parts.
Keep detailed records of maintenance schedules and repairs.
3+ years of experience reforming service and repairs on heavy equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment in the field.
Ability to operate vehicles or equipment used for diagnostic purposes
Ability to lift up to 75lbs
Proficient oral and communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid drivers license with clean driving record.
Subject to pre – employment drug test.
