Job Description
Position Description:
The Custodial position is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of various facility areas, including bathrooms, offices, and common spaces. Key duties include general cleaning, restocking supplies, and maintaining safety standards. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently. Physical stamina is essential, as the position involves lifting and standing for long periods. Prior custodial experience is beneficial.
Competencies
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks thoroughly and meticulously, ensuring all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Capability to work effectively with minimal supervision, proactively identifying and completing necessary cleaning duties in a timely manner.
Essential Functions
Clean bathrooms, production areas, office spaces, and other assigned areas.
Maintain floors by sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and waxing regularly.
Empty trash cans daily and ensure trash is disposed of appropriately.
Clean up spills and hazards promptly and in accordance with safety standards.
Restock materials such as toilet paper and hand towels; maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs to purchasing.
Set up safety signage, such as wet floor signs, during cleaning or in hazardous areas.
Clean windows, dust counters, and maintain cleanliness of archives.
Perform specialized cleaning tasks as directed by supervisors, including:
• Daily tasks: cleaning microwaves, sweeping designated areas, and wiping down break room tables before lunch.
• Weekly tasks: cleaning specific areas like the QC office, ESD room, and mezzanine.
• Periodic tasks: deep cleaning of refrigerators (every three months).
• Perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques and procedures; prior custodial experience is a plus.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Essential Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive movements.
• Ability to complete regular cleaning schedules across various facility areas to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Other Physical Requirements:
• This is a designated safety-sensitive position.
