This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an IT Field Support Technician in India.
This role is a hands-on IT support position focused on ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and end-user systems across clinical, clerical, and remote environments. You will be responsible for providing on-site and remote technical assistance to resolve user issues efficiently and maintain business continuity across multiple locations. The position involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software in line with established IT standards. You will also support device imaging, endpoint management, and basic network and infrastructure troubleshooting. In addition, you will act as a key liaison between end users and IT teams, helping ensure timely resolution of technical issues and service requests. This is a dynamic role suited for a proactive problem-solver who enjoys working directly with users in a service-driven IT environment.
- Provide hands-on support for installation, configuration, relocation, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software.
- Perform computer imaging, hardware troubleshooting, and software installation across Windows-based environments.
- Support end users in resolving technical issues through onsite and remote assistance channels.
- Maintain and track IT equipment inventory, including shipping, receiving, and deployment of devices.
- Monitor and manage support tickets, ensuring accurate documentation of issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams, including infrastructure, clinical applications, and security teams to resolve complex issues.
- Provide basic support for network connectivity, VPN access, phone systems, and IT infrastructure components.
- Ensure compliance with IT security standards and assist in identifying potential system vulnerabilities.
- Support IT projects and deployments across multiple sites and user groups as required.
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in desktop or end-user IT support in corporate or clinical environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Intune, and endpoint management tools.
- Experience supporting remote users and troubleshooting VPN or connectivity issues.
- Familiarity with computer imaging, hardware diagnostics, and software deployment processes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a professional and patient approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to assigned locations when required.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are preferred.
- Experience in healthcare or regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2) is a plus.
