This senior fundraising leadership role is focused on shaping and executing a comprehensive development strategy that drives sustainable growth and long-term financial stability for a mission-driven organization. You will lead the design and implementation of annual, major gifts, and emerging capital and endowment campaigns, working closely with executive leadership and board stakeholders. The role combines high-touch donor relationship management with strategic campaign planning and development operations oversight.
You will cultivate and steward relationships with key donors, alumni, parents, and community partners to deepen engagement and maximize philanthropic impact.
In addition, you will play a central role in building fundraising infrastructure, optimizing donor data systems, and ensuring strong reporting and accountability.

- Lead the design and execution of a multi-year fundraising strategy, including annual campaigns, major gifts programs, and future capital/endowment initiatives.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, cultivating deep relationships and securing transformational philanthropic commitments.
- Partner closely with executive leadership and board members on donor strategy, solicitation efforts, stewardship, and high-value engagement.
- Oversee campaign communications and development marketing activities in collaboration with supporting staff, including digital outreach and donor materials.
- Supervise development operations, including donor database management, gift processing, acknowledgments, and reporting accuracy.
- Track fundraising performance, monitor progress toward goals, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Identify and cultivate new donor prospects, including alumni, parents, community members, and institutional partners.
- Support grant identification and proposal development in alignment with organizational priorities.
- Lead development committee coordination and contribute to donor-facing events and engagement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree required; CFRE certification strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive fundraising or development experience, including direct responsibility for executing fundraising strategies.
- 3–5+ years of major gift fundraising experience with a proven record of cultivating, soliciting, and closing significant donations.
- Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, donor stewardship, campaign strategy, and planned giving approaches.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain meaningful donor relationships through strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Experience managing fundraising operations, CRM systems, and data-driven development reporting.
- Ability to operate independently in a lean infrastructure environment while driving multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills with attention to detail and accountability.
- Familiarity with Jewish community philanthropy or higher education advancement is a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally for donor engagement activities.
- Competitive salary range of $100,000 – $115,000 USD, aligned with experience and qualifications.
