This role sits at the intersection of insurance expertise, product configuration, and SaaS solution design within a specialized bureau content team. The Bureau Solution Consultant is responsible for building and maintaining standardized insurance bureau-based content that powers scalable policy and rating solutions for clients. This position plays a key role in translating complex ISO, NCCI, and independent bureau rules into structured, reusable product components that reduce implementation effort and accelerate customer onboarding. Working closely with technical teams, system integrators, and product stakeholders, the role ensures accuracy, compliance, and usability of bureau content across the platform. It also involves client-facing engagement, including solution demonstrations and support for sales opportunities. This is a highly collaborative and detail-driven role in a fast-evolving insurance technology environment where precision and domain expertise directly impact product success.
The Bureau Solution Consultant is responsible for designing, validating, and maintaining bureau-based insurance content while supporting both technical implementation and client engagement activities.
- Develop and maintain bureau-based requirements and specifications aligned with ISO, NCCI, and independent bureau rules for Property, General Liability, Auto, and Workers’ Compensation lines.
- Translate bureau manuals and regulatory guidelines into structured configuration content within the bureau repository.
- Collaborate with system integrators and technical teams to define requirements, support implementation, resolve questions, and validate delivered configurations.
- Test and validate bureau content to ensure accuracy, compliance, and functionality within rating and policy systems.
- Partner with product managers and engineering teams to define enhancements and changes required for optimal bureau content delivery and integration.
- Support client-facing teams by explaining bureau solutions, assisting with demonstrations, and addressing technical or functional inquiries.
- Contribute to the development of documentation, training materials, and internal knowledge resources related to bureau content.
- Define requirements for external integrations involving bureau data and insurance policy workflows.
The ideal candidate brings strong insurance domain expertise, technical understanding of rating systems, and the ability to bridge business and technology requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in insurance, insurance software, or related technology environments.
- Deep knowledge of ISO and NCCI manuals, particularly across Property, General Liability, Auto, and Workers’ Compensation lines.
- Strong understanding of insurance rating, policy issuance, and full policy lifecycle processes.
- Experience working with configuration-based systems or insurance SaaS platforms is highly preferred.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory and technical documentation and translate it into actionable requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and testing skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience supporting client demonstrations or pre-sales activities is a plus.
- Industry certifications such as CPCU, AU, AIT, or ARC are considered an advantage.
- Competitive base salary range: $100,000 – $122,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
