Volunteer Services Coordinator
Volunteer Services Coordinator - SUMMARY: The Volunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Volunteer Services with managing and administering all aspects of the volunteer program, as well as the Baxter Health Auxiliary’s operational needs. The coordinator will be responsible for screening new volunteer applicants for additional action. They will assist the Director of Volunteer Services in keeping all Volunteer Services documents, volunteer schedules, volunteer records, policies and database up to date. The coordinator will also be responsible for clerical, administrative assistant and reception duties.
The coordinator will assist the Pink-A-Dilly Gift Shop manager and the Bargain Box manager with all administrative assistant needs, forms, POS systems, volunteer scheduling and auxiliary operations. There will be considerable interaction with general public, patients and their families, volunteers, students and hospital staff to promote volunteerism and Baxter Health Auxiliary projects.
Volunteer Services Coordinator - JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Three years in volunteer services work or related field. Minimum of one-year secretarial/bookkeeping experience, two years computer experience. Experience with Windows, Micro Soft Publisher, MSWord, Excel and Power Point preferred.
Other: Strong leadership skills and excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of data/word processing equipment and related software. Working knowledge of office machines. Ability to type proficiently.
