Muth Electric is seeking an experienced Traveling Electrical Superintendent to lead electrical construction projects from start to finish across our footprint. This role is responsible for managing field operations, supervising crews, maintaining safety standards, ensuring quality work, and keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Supervise foremen, electricians, and subcontractors.
- Manage workforce assignments and jobsite resources.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety plans, and electrical codes.
- Inspect work to verify quality and adherence to project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams.
- Review drawings, schedules, and material requirements.
- Lead crews, assign tasks, and maintain productivity standards.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to field personnel.
- Troubleshoot issues and communicate project concerns or improvement opportunities.
- Ensure installation of power, lighting, controls, fire alarm, instrumentation, and related systems meets company and industry standards.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of electrical construction experience, including supervisory experience.
- Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and access confined spaces.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and jobsite environments.
- Ability to wear required PPE and tool belt.
- Ability to work overtime and occasional off-hour shifts as needed.
Education
Associate degree, technical school training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must hold a valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of employment.
