Position Status: This position is contingent upon contract award and successful contract transition. Employment is also contingent upon the candidate's ability to satisfy all customer, contract, and security clearance requirements.

If awarded, this position is expected to be covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Compensation, benefits, and working conditions for covered positions will be administered in accordance with the applicable agreement and contract requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Trade Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of skilled trades personnel supporting facilities operations, maintenance, repair, and construction-related activities. This position provides leadership, technical guidance, and operational oversight to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards. The Trade Supervisor works closely with management, maintenance personnel, and Government stakeholders to support facility reliability, operational readiness, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of skilled trades personnel, including electricians, plumbers, HVAC mechanics, carpenters, painters, locksmiths, and other maintenance personnel as assigned.
  • Assign work tasks, establish priorities, and monitor progress to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure maintenance, repair, installation, and construction-related work is performed in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, contract requirements, and industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections of completed work to verify quality and compliance.
  • Support preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, tools, equipment, and other resources to support operational requirements.
  • Assist with troubleshooting complex maintenance issues and developing effective corrective actions.
  • Support outage planning, emergency response activities, and restoration efforts.
  • Maintain work records, inspection reports, maintenance documentation, and performance metrics.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with safety requirements and organizational policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting facilities operations, maintenance, construction, or skilled trades programs.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising, directing, or coordinating skilled trades personnel.
  • Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, construction methods, and applicable safety requirements.
  • Experience planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance or construction activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, technical manuals, and work documents.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting federal government facilities contracts.
  • Experience supervising multiple skilled trades disciplines within a facilities environment.
  • Experience supporting large campus-style, industrial, institutional, mission-critical, or training facilities.
  • Professional certifications related to facilities management, construction management, maintenance management, or skilled trades supervision.
  • Experience utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour certification.
  • Experience supporting outage coordination, emergency response activities, or infrastructure improvement projects.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is performed in a combination of office, maintenance, construction, industrial, and outdoor environments and requires frequent interaction with personnel, equipment, and facility infrastructure. The incumbent must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, kneel, and navigate active work sites for extended periods while conducting inspections, overseeing work activities, and supporting maintenance operations. The position may require occasional lifting and carrying of materials, tools, or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, moving equipment, construction activities, maintenance operations, and other operational hazards. The incumbent must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all applicable safety procedures. Occasional evening, weekend, on-call, or extended work hours may be required to support operational requirements, outages, emergency response activities, or contract needs.

The compensation range provided for this position is intended as a general guideline. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, certifications, geographic location, market conditions, and business needs, consistent with applicable laws and contract requirements.

Positions covered by the Service Contract Act (SCA), Davis-Bacon Act (DBA), Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), or other applicable contract requirements will be administered in accordance with those requirements. Compensation, benefits, and work rules for positions covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement will be governed by the applicable agreement.
