This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Engineering Services Practitioner based in India.
This role involves contributing to end-to-end engineering support activities focused on developing technical solutions that solve complex design and business challenges. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to support structural design, stress analysis, configuration management, and technical documentation activities. The position blends engineering fundamentals with illustration and technical drawing expertise to create accurate visual representations of engineering concepts. You will also participate in problem-solving discussions and assist in translating engineering requirements into precise technical illustrations and deliverables. This is a hands-on, client-facing role requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to work within structured engineering processes and standards. You will gain exposure to aerospace and mechanical engineering environments while supporting high-quality technical publication and design outputs.
- Support end-to-end engineering services by assisting in the development of technical solutions that address structural, mechanical, and business requirements.
- Contribute to illustration design and technical drawing creation aligned with engineering specifications and client requirements.
- Participate in problem-solving discussions and support engineering teams in resolving design and technical challenges.
- Assist in structural and stress design activities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with engineering principles.
- Create and refine technical illustrations, mock-ups, and visual assets using engineering inputs and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support configuration management and technical documentation processes.
- Interpret engineering drawings and translate them into precise technical illustrations and publication-ready visuals.
- Support ongoing engineering projects by contributing to design validation and technical input activities.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in illustration design or technical drawing within engineering environments.
- Educational background requiring 15 years of full-time education, preferably in Mechanical Engineering (DME, BE, or B.Tech).
- Strong proficiency in technical illustration and ability to create accurate engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software.
- Understanding of engineering design principles and ability to interpret complex technical drawings.
- Exposure to aerospace or mechanical engineering domains is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with standards such as S-1000D and Ispec 2200 is a plus.
- Experience using tools like CATIA V6, Isodraw, or Tech Illustrator for illustration and design work.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work independently at client sites.
- Good communication skills; knowledge of French is an added advantage.
