Description:

Trecora is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our maintenance team in Lawrence, KS.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), three-phase motors, and a wide range of manufacturing equipment in a chemical plant environment. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our electrical systems and production machinery.

Requirements:

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair (110v, 220v, 480v) electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical components, including three-phase motors, control panels, and wiring systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.
  • Document all repairs, installations, and maintenance activities accurately.
  • Complete other job responsibilities as assigned and all jobs in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications for Industrial Electrician:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years as an Industrial Electrician in plant environment.
  • Familiarity with OSHA Safety standards.

Skillset of this position:

  • Strong knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) programming and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise in three-phase motor systems and industrial power distribution.
  • Ability to work with various manufacturing equipment and automated systems.
  • Proficient in reading electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Successful completion of new employee orientation and all job specific training.

Physical Requirements of the job:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces and elevated areas.
  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.
