Accountabilities:

The Sales Engineer will serve as a strategic technical partner to sales teams and customers, helping drive successful enterprise engagements through demonstrations, technical guidance, and solution design. This role requires strong ownership of technical sales cycles, the ability to simplify complex concepts, and collaboration across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.

  • Partner with enterprise sales teams to support new customer acquisition and expansion opportunities through technical expertise and solution guidance.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concept trials, and technical presentations to showcase platform capabilities and business value.
  • Translate customer challenges into tailored solutions while explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support strategic sales cycles by managing technical evaluations, addressing objections, and developing creative approaches to overcome sales obstacles.
  • Respond to technical components of RFIs and RFPs while ensuring accurate and compelling solution positioning.
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and cross-functional teams to provide customer insights and support product improvements.
  • Build integrations and solution designs using APIs, cloud technologies, connected hardware, and business systems.
  • Contribute to sales engineering enablement by sharing best practices, technical learnings, and successful customer approaches.
  • Support field events, customer meetings, and remote engagements while maintaining strong relationships with prospects and clients.
  • Champion a customer-focused mindset and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance team culture.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a technically skilled sales professional with experience supporting complex enterprise solutions through consultative engagements. You should be comfortable working with customers, sales teams, and technical stakeholders while balancing strategic thinking with hands-on problem solving.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Systems Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or similar.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders through technical expertise, business understanding, and consultative selling skills.
  • Experience explaining complex technical solutions to diverse audiences, including executives and business users.
  • Experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations and technical proof-of-concept processes.
  • Strong understanding of cloud software, connected hardware, networking concepts, business systems integration, automation, and control systems.
  • Experience integrating SaaS applications using REST APIs and related technologies such as XML, SOAP, or EDI.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, or equivalent languages is a plus.
  • Experience building solutions leveraging open APIs and modern integration approaches is preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronic systems, vehicle diagnostics, Controller Area Networks (CAN bus), or similar technologies is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills, adaptability, curiosity, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be located in and authorized to work in the United States.
