The Tax Manager will play a key role in supporting global tax operations and ensuring accurate, compliant, and strategic tax management across a growing organization.
This individual contributor role offers the opportunity to own complex tax processes while partnering with internal teams and external advisors.
The position requires strong expertise across income tax, indirect tax, and tax compliance activities, with the ability to navigate evolving regulations.
You will contribute to tax planning initiatives, financial reporting accuracy, and business decisions by providing valuable technical guidance.

The Tax Manager will oversee a broad range of tax activities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and alignment with business objectives. This role requires strong collaboration with finance, legal, sales, and external partners while managing complex tax requirements.
- Manage income tax, sales and use tax, gross receipts tax, franchise tax, VAT, business tax, licensing, and property tax filings and compliance activities.
- Coordinate with external tax providers and manage the annual tax provision process.
- Maintain the tax calendar and ensure timely completion of all regulatory filing obligations.
- Respond to tax authority audits, notices, and information requests while supporting resolution efforts.
- Review quarterly transfer pricing calculations, related journal entries, and supporting documentation.
- Support tax planning initiatives, including analysis of tax implications for business transactions and strategic projects.
- Prepare state income tax apportionment calculations, tax account reconciliations, financial statement disclosures, and tax footnotes.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and accounting standards, assessing impacts and documenting required actions.
- Support entity compliance activities, including registrations, entity formations, and international tax-related requirements.
- Partner with sales and legal teams to provide tax guidance during contract negotiations and business decisions.
- Maintain and optimize indirect tax software solutions and related third-party tools.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical tax expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- Master’s degree in Taxation preferred.
- CPA certification or active progress toward CPA licensing preferred.
- 6–10 years of professional tax experience, with experience in both income and indirect taxation.
- Strong knowledge of corporate tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax regulations.
- Experience supporting software, technology, or high-growth organizations is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Experience with financial and tax systems such as NetSuite, Avalara, or Stripe is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
