Job Description

  • POSITION SUMMARY

    • Assist the registered nurse and/or provider with data collection, appropriate medical interventions, and patient education within my scope of practice as a student. Perform these duties through teamwork, while exhibiting high customer service and patient safety. The RN Student will be expected to meet all classwork, clinical, classroom simulation and any other requirements for the RN program.

  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum Education

      • Practical Nursing degree from accredited program

      • In addition to the general admission requirements of the College, application to the Nursing Program requires:

        • Unconditional admission to the College (see College Catalog for requirements)
        • 5 grade point average (GPA) calculated on completed academic core courses
        • Transfer students must enter on clear academic status (cumulative 2.0 GPA)
        • Meeting all eligibility requirements for RN program as outlined by the school

    • Minimum Experience
      • One year as LPN

    • Required Registration/License/Certification
      • BLS
      • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

    • Preferred Education
      • N/A

    • Preferred Experience
      • Experience working in a hospital setting

    • Preferred Registration/License/Certification
      • Two years as LPN

    • Other Requirements
      • N/A
