Web & UI/UX Developer in Scotland Neck, North Carolina at CSS Inc.

Responsibilities

• Provide Web design and front-end software development support.
• Design, develop, and analyze highly complex software programs for computer-based systems.
• Create compelling and satisfying experiences for product users.
• Consult with software application end users, or proxies, to understand their goals and objectives.
• Perform and may lead usability testing; develop usage scenarios and personas, create wireframes, sitemaps, storyboards, and screen flows.
• Write computer code that results in an easy-to-use product.
• Participate and may lead software design groups to meet user requirements.
• Participates in software architecture working groups as needed, including coverage of strategic topics such as cloud migration and secure coding and development infrastructure
• May oversee or mentor junior developers and team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 4-7 years of relevant professional experience
• Documented experience in all phases of the web application development life cycle
• Knowledge of user centered design (UCD) patterns and best practices, 508 compliance and accessibility.
• Excellent understanding of customer needs and business strategy.
• Prior experience with on-site government agency support preferred
• Ability to pass a National Agency Check (NACI) and maintain it throughout the duration of employment.
