Operations Supervisor, Duke University

Job Description:

TheOperations Supervisor will report to the General Manager and is responsible foractively facilitate communications betweenWeDriveUdrivers and staff, the riders, vendors and client staffto ensure the service is running at top notch.

This is full time position Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

This position will be supporting our operations at Duke Univeristy, but will follow a year round work calendar.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work cross-functional with dispatch to resolve on-the-ground issues.
  • Be a liaison between management,dispatch,and drivers.
  • Support operations in problem solving.
  • Supervise activities and performance for on sire CDL driver operators
  • Help drivers locate and troubleshoot vehicles.
  • Help drivers troubleshoot intermittent software issue.
  • Check-in new vehicles and prepare for service.
  • Check-out vehicles for retiring.
  • Support operations team by maintaining employee and vehicle documentation.
  • Distribute documentation to drivers and communicate information down the chain.
  • Monitor driver performance KPIs and report findings.
  • Communicate vehicle maintenance needs to Fleet.
  • Co-ordinate vehicle movements and usage
  • Maintain bus hardware and inventory.
  • Assist operations and fleet management with monthly and quarterly audits.
  • Provide training to drivers (as needed)
  • Support the of company policy and procedures and work with operations to enforce yard policy and procedures.
  • Support the General Manager as needed

Skills Required and Physical Demands:

  • Ability to multitask and pay extreme attention todetail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and problemsolve.
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace andMicrosoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced excelskills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ableto lift 25+ pounds, climb stairs,and be on your feet for an extendedperiod.

Education and Qualifications:

Hard requirements:

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Operations Supervision
  • Commercialdriverslicense in NC with passenger endorsement

Preferred requirements:

  • Experience in public or private alternative transportation demand management (TDM)
  • Knowledge ofFMCSA, DOT,DPU policies and procedures
