- Compensation: $65,000 – $70,000 per year (based on experience)
- Schedule: Full-time, exempt
- Hours: 40–55 hours per week, primarily daytime; extended hours as operational needs require
Pallet Logistics of America (PLA) is seeking a hands-on Site Manager to lead our on-site operation at the Walmart Distribution Center in Grantsville, UT. Our team partners directly with Walmart to sort and manage wooden pallets and oversee dock operations within the DC. As Site Manager, you'll lead a team of 20+ employees in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where safety, efficiency, and strong customer relationships drive success every day.
Job SummaryThe Site Manager is responsible for leading all daily operations within the assigned facility, ensuring efficient production, inventory flow, safety compliance, and exceptional customer service. This role oversees warehouse leadership and frontline staff to drive operational excellence, cost control, and team development. The Site Manager plays a key part in maintaining strong customer relationships, optimizing storage and material movement, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
This position manages a team of 20+ employees and requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and experience in high-volume warehouse or manufacturing environments.
Essential FunctionsLeadership & Team Management- Manage daily warehouse operations and oversee a team of 20+ employees
- Train, coach, and develop onsite leadership to meet facility goals
- Provide strong, hands-on leadership to promote a high-performance culture
- Ensure standards for production, quality, safety, and equipment utilization are met
- Oversee storage layout, inventory flow, and warehouse organization
- Implement strategies to maximize space and optimize material movement
- Partner with Regional Managers and Division Operations VPs on operational standards, cost control, waste reduction, and process improvement
- Prepare and analyze production, operational, and administrative reports
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
- Ensure accurate and timely communication with customers regarding operations, inventory, and service expectations
- Support customer walk-throughs and business reviews as needed
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and environmental regulations
- Troubleshoot issues across the facility and recommend corrective actions
- Conduct inventory cycle checks and audits to maintain accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant facility environment
- Ensure proper stacking, labeling, handling, and storage conditions
- Oversee returns, damages, and appropriate product handling
- Support the flow of goods between departments to drive operational efficiency
- Strong leadership and team development skills

- Comfortable analyzing operational and financial data
- Bachelor's Degree required (Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field)
- 3+ years of experience in operations management
- P&L or Cost Center experience required
- Experience in warehouse distribution, plant management, or manufacturing operations (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Valid Driver's License required
- Ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs as business needs require
- While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee works primarily in a warehouse/distribution center environment and is regularly required to stand, walk, and move about the facility for extended periods of time. The employee must be able to communicate with others, operate a computer and standard office equipment, and regularly lift, carry, push, or pull materials, with the ability to lift up to 50–100 pounds as business needs require. The role involves frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and climbing. The work environment includes exposure to moving equipment (including forklifts and other powered industrial equipment), varying temperatures, elevated noise levels, and dust typical of a warehouse setting. Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
