Manufacturing Testing Technician in Cranbury, New Jersey at CRP Industries Inc

We are currently searching a technician to be responsible for inspection and testing of a variety of manufactured products as well as be a support role for several areas of manufacturing, including but not limited to; shipping, quality and assembly. The salary range begins at $14 -$15 /hr depending on experience. This is a direct hire position in a family owned company that has been in New Jersey for over 65 years.

Essential Functions:

• Perform product appearance inspection and function test duties.

• Understand product failure reasons and be able to identify the relative work stations.

• Identify and report defective products or questionable conditions to the supervisor.

• Document inspections and testing result per SOP.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain the work area and test station in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations

• Inform co-workers and report supervisor with product defects.

• Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions

• Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization

• Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

• Perform basic visual quality inspections on products

• Maintain the production pace of other team members

• Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• May be required to stand for long periods of time

• May involve some repetitive motions

• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

• May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers

• Do to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold
