About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, scaling, and maintaining resilient systems that support high-volume data alerting within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You will leverage your expertise in Kubernetes and AWS cloud infrastructure to orchestrate containerized workloads and optimize core services like EKS, EC2, and S3. Utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, you will automate provisioning while implementing robust routing, DNS, and messaging platforms (RabbitMQ, Kafka) to guarantee high availability and performance across distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Container Orchestration: Design and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure utilizing AWS (EKS, EC2, S3) and Kubernetes to manage containerized workloads seamlessly.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Implement and maintain IaC using Terraform to automate provisioning, configuration, and environment deployments.

Networking & Messaging Architecture: Design robust routing and DNS solutions alongside large-scale messaging platforms like RabbitMQ and Kafka to handle massive data streams and secure inter-service communication.

Observability & Incident Response: Utilize monitoring tools such as Grafana alongside comprehensive logging and alerting frameworks to ensure proactive incident response and system health.

DevOps & Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, enforce cloud security best practices, and drive overall operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.

Orchestration & Cloud: Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, AWS, EKS, EC2, and S3.

Automation: Demonstrated proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

Streaming & Messaging: Experience with high-throughput messaging platforms including RabbitMQ and Kafka.

Networking: Solid background in designing and managing routing and DNS solutions.

Observability & Operations: Proficiency with Grafana, logging frameworks, alerting systems, and broader DevOps methodologies.

Preferred Skills & Experience
Extensive experience deploying and scaling high-availability applications directly on Kubernetes.

Proven background handling and routing high-volume data alerts in real time.

Demonstrated success working on large-scale projects within complex, fast-paced technical environments.
