Salary Range: $26.96 To $41.45 Annually

Summary: The Collateral Risk Analyst II provides operational, workflow, and vendor management support for the Bank's valuation and environmental risk management programs. The position is responsible for coordinating appraisal, evaluation, environmental, and related due diligence assignments; supporting vendor panel administration; monitoring workflow activities; and ensuring assignments are processed in accordance with departmental policies, regulatory guidance, and service standards.

Job Responsibilities:


Workflow | Residential/Commercial Valuation & Environmental

  • For residential appraisals, orders reports, and other valuation products by selecting the appropriately qualified local professional within established time frames using the department’s workflow tool or developing an RFP as needed.
  • For basic and moderately complex commercial appraisals and environmental assignments, analyzes the specifications for the proposed loan, coupled with supplemental independent research as needed, to develop an RFP in the vendor management system. Coordinates the management of RFPs, including portfolio projects, and the engagement process.
  • For basic and moderately complex projects, analyzes valuation and environmental assignment requirements to determine appropriate report scope, vendor qualifications, service levels, and engagement criteria consistent with departmental policy, regulatory guidance, and workflow procedures.
  • Tracks and reports assignment status; coordinates the routing and assignment of completed reports to qualified internal or external review resources.
  • Closes, tracks, and processes appraisal and environmental reviews completed by external service providers.
  • For basic and moderately complex projects, selects the appropriate vendor for and orders supplemental services including construction, insurance, and commercial site visit inspections.
  • Supports reviewers when complex situations arise to coordinate the bank’s response, including disputes, to internal customers and vendors.

Vendor Management | Residential/Commercial Valuation & Environmental

  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships with outside professionals to promote a high level of service to internal customers and external partners, including appraisers, environmental professionals, and other vendors.
  • Works with other members of the team to create and maintain vendor profiles in the appropriate systems; ensures that the required documentation is properly cataloged and retained in the departmental files.
  • Supports approved vendor panel administration, including onboarding, credential verification, license and insurance tracking, service area maintenance, vendor record retention, and monitoring compliance with departmental requirements.
  • Assists with training and coaching vendors relative to turnaround time and workflow related issues as they arise.
  • Monitors vendor performance metrics, maintains vendor service areas, coordinates onboarding, and provisional approval activities, and supports documentation of coaching, compliance, and panel management activities.
  • Prepares periodic reports for the management of vendors.

Administrative & Department Support

  • Responsible for departmental accounts payable processes, including invoice validation in accordance with bank accounting requirements.
  • Assists with monitoring departmental continuing education records and related tracking requirements.
  • Assists with departmental reporting, supply ordering, and administrative support activities.

Other Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in real estate, appraisal operations, collateral risk, vendor management, banking operations, or related discipline.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Experience working with workflow management systems and/or vendor management platforms.
  • Knowledge of appraisal, evaluation, environmental due diligence, and collateral risk management processes.
  • Experience in commercial and residential valuation administration within a financial institution.

Schedule:

This position is based at Columbia Bank's headquarters in Fair Lawn, NJ or Roselle, NJ, Freehold, NJ ,Voorhees, NJ and requires regular on-site attendance.
