This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Science Consultant based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead data visualization and analytics initiatives for enterprise clients, combining technical expertise with strategic consulting.
You will own Power BI engagements from discovery and requirements gathering through delivery, optimization, and iteration.
The role focuses on transforming complex data into intuitive dashboards and actionable insights that improve business decision-making.
You will work directly with clients, facilitate workshops, define KPIs, and translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions.
Alongside hands-on development, you will mentor junior team members and help establish consistent technical and delivery standards.
The ideal environment is fast-paced, collaborative, entrepreneurial, and highly focused on ownership, innovation, and measurable client impact.

Accountabilities
  • Lead end-to-end Power BI and analytics engagements, serving as a primary client contact and managing requirements, timelines, deliverables, and expectations across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Facilitate client workshops to understand business objectives, define KPIs, establish reporting requirements, and translate stakeholder needs into effective analytics solutions.
  • Design, develop, and optimize interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using data visualization, usability, performance, and data storytelling best practices.
  • Build and optimize data models using star schema principles, develop advanced DAX calculations and measures, and use Power Query to extract, transform, and structure data from multiple sources.
  • Establish efficient data refresh strategies and performance optimization approaches while ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data, visualization, and performance issues, ensuring high-quality and reliable analytics deliverables.
  • Present dashboards, insights, and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders, helping clients turn data into actionable decisions.
  • Advise clients on data strategy, reporting improvements, governance, and analytics best practices while supporting adoption through training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
  • Delegate and review work performed by junior analysts and developers, providing technical mentorship and ensuring consistency and quality across project deliverables.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying innovative approaches, new technologies, and opportunities to create additional value for clients.
Requirements
  • 5–8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence development, or a related field, including 3–5+ years of hands-on Power BI experience.
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end reporting, dashboard, or analytics initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation and ongoing improvement.
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI, data modeling, data visualization, and dashboard development, with strong knowledge of DAX and Power Query (M).
  • Experience working with diverse data sources, including SQL databases, APIs, data warehouses, Excel, and other structured or semi-structured sources.
  • Strong understanding of data transformation techniques, performance optimization, data refresh strategies, and scalable analytics solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Experience working in consulting or other client-facing environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or Google BigQuery is a plus.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI Service administration, deployment pipelines, or data governance is advantageous.
  • Experience supporting construction, capital projects, data center, or other complex enterprise environments is preferred.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial, accountable, and solution-oriented approach, with a willingness to learn, accept feedback, collaborate, and take ownership of outcomes.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Remote work opportunities with flexible working arrangements.
  • Health insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with employer matching.
  • Flexible paid time off.
  • Philanthropic matching gift program.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • A collaborative, inclusive, and highly interactive remote work environment.
  • Exposure to complex projects and enterprise clients, including Fortune 500 organizations.
  • A culture that values innovation, individuality, accountability, and continuous learning.
