Shift Lead in Woodland Hills, California at Buckley's Family Adventure

We’re opening something new, and we need someone to help lead the floor.

Buckley’s Family Adventure is a 25,000 square foot family entertainment center opening this fall in Woodland Hills — go-karts, laser tag, a two-story play gym, an arcade, a full kitchen, and an entire universe of characters we made up ourselves. We’re brand new. Nothing here is inherited. The person who takes this job helps decide what “how we do things at Buckley’s” actually means.

Run the floor. Lead a team of Adventure Guides through a shift. Make sure the birthday party at table six feels like the most important thing happening in the building. Solve the problem before a guest has to ask twice. Open, close, and everything in between. Some days you’re directing. Some days you’re wiping down karts and refilling the prize wall yourself, because that’s what the moment needs.

You’ll report directly to our GM and AGM — which means you’re learning the business, not just working a shift. We want this to be a step toward running something bigger.

Someone who leads by example rather than by title. Customer service should come naturally to you; at a place like this, how a guest gets treated matters more than almost anything else. Coachable, comfortable being visible, steady when it’s loud. Lead or supervisor experience in restaurants, retail, or entertainment helps — but we care far more about who you are than where you’ve worked.

Nights, weekends, and holidays. That’s when families come, so that’s when we work. It’s loud. You’ll be on your feet most of your shift. And this is our first location, so the first year will have some chaos in it — systems will change, and some days will be messy. If that’s a reason to say no, this isn’t the right job. Required

• At least 21 years old
• RBS Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
• Reliable form of transportation
• A genuinely positive attitude and a real desire to help others
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Able to stand and walk throughout the facility for the full length of a shift
• Able to bend, kneel, and reach as needed to assist guests and set up attractions or party areas
• Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Comfortable communicating with guests and teammates in a high-energy environment
• Able to obtain RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification upon hire, if not already certified

Preferred

• Experience working as a lead, supervisor, or shift lead in any setting
• Experience in customer service or hospitality
