POSITION OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
The Logistics Warehouse Coordinator will support and coordinate daily warehouse and logistics operations to ensure timely and accurate handling of construction materials, fiber, and telecommunications equipment. This role bridges operational execution and supervisory oversight, ensuring inventory accuracy, efficient material flow, and compliance with safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate daily inventory management of tools, parts, and materials for installation and repair projects.
- Manage shipping, receiving, and stocking of fiber and telecommunications materials.
- Prepare and stage construction materials and installation kits for field technicians.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system.
- Assist with scheduling and prioritizing material deliveries to job sites and satellite warehouses.
- Support quarterly and annual inventory audits and quality control checks.
- Communicate inventory status and material needs to the Supervisor and field service teams.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Logistics.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics processes.
- Ability to lift, push, and slide boxes up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 70 lbs).
- Forklift certification required within 90 days of employment if not already held.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics or warehouse operations.
- Experience handling construction materials and telecommunications equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and processes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Experience in fiber optics or telecommunications industry.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and warehouse safety practices.
- Forklift certification or prior forklift operation experience.
- Experience supporting multiple warehouse locations or job sites.
