Facilities Cleaning Staff in Windham, New York at Windham Mountain Club

Work Location: In-person role based in Windham, NY.

Seasonal Position: This role is available for the winter season.

Pay: 18 per hour

Anticipated Start Dates: Weather-dependent, typically beginning in early December.

Conditions: This role is primarily performed indoors in a fast-paced environment.

Position Summary:

The Facilities Cleaning team is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of the ski lodge and surrounding areas. This guest-facing role requires a friendly attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to keeping assigned areas clean and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain restrooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, locker rooms, fitness facilities, and other assigned spaces.
• Assist with guest area setups, breakdowns, and special events.
• Restock supplies and maintain storage areas.
• Remove trash and transport waste to designated dumpsters.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Provide friendly guest assistance and address minor issues as needed.
• Follow safety procedures, timekeeping policies, and department standards.
• Maintain equipment and a professional appearance.

Qualifications:

• Cleaning, maintenance, or janitorial experience preferred.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptable and willing to learn new skills.
• Comfortable interacting with guests and coworkers.
• Able to work efficiently in busy, fast-paced environments.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for up to 10 hours.
• Work on uneven, snowy, or icy terrain.
• Climb stairs and ladders.
• Regularly push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach.
