About the Role:

The Cutter - Fabrication plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by accurately cutting materials to specified dimensions, ensuring the foundation for high-quality fabricated products. This position requires precision and attention to detail to meet design specifications and maintain production efficiency. The Cutter collaborates closely with fabrication and production teams to prepare materials that meet safety and quality standards. By effectively managing cutting equipment and interpreting technical drawings, the Cutter contributes to minimizing waste and optimizing material usage. Ultimately, this role supports the seamless flow of the fabrication process, directly impacting the overall success of production operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating cutting machinery in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material dimensions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or training in fabrication or machining.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in manufacturing settings.
  • Previous experience working in a team-oriented production environment.
  • Basic computer skills for tracking production data and inventory.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and cutting instructions to determine material requirements and cutting specifications.
  • Operate cutting machinery such as shears, saws, and automated cutting systems safely and efficiently to produce components according to specifications.
  • Measure and mark materials accurately before cutting to ensure precision and adherence to quality standards.
  • Inspect cut materials for defects or deviations and report any issues to supervisors for corrective action.
  • Maintain cutting equipment by performing routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to coordinate material flow and meet production deadlines.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
