About the role

The Entry Level On-Site Program Assistant is a part-time role that provides direct, hands-on support to neurodivergent individuals, ensuring their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. This role involves assisting clients with building independence, developing life and vocational skills, strengthening relationships, and achieving personal goals. Part Time Entry Level Program Assistant plays a vital part in improving the lives of program participants by helping them discover new strengths and passions with confidence, while building a network of inclusivity and support.

What you'll do

  • Support participants in achieving their individual goals as expressed by the client interest form.
  • Provide hands-on support to individuals with disabilities, focusing on their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Assist and support life skills, social skills, work skills, and self-advocacy.
  • Encourage clients to be independent, confident, and actively participate.
  • Assist with implementing meaningful activities based on participant interests, choices, and goals.
  • Co-facilitate community activities and excursions.
  • Provide direct support to participants in program and community settings.
  • Follow all safety procedures and utilize behavioral support strategies to promote a safe and supportive environment tailored to each client.
  • Complete accurate and timely notes, service logs, attendance, and other documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining program equipment and materials.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is highly valued.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal communication), with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for individuals in your care.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

The pay range for this role is:
18.50 - 18.50 USD per hour(Corporate)
