The Position:

We are seeking high-caliber Senior Program / Project / Management Analysts designated as Key Personnel to drive strategic program analysis and operational planning for the F/A-18 variants program at NAS Patuxent River. In this critical, high-visibility role, you will serve as a principal advisor, utilizing advanced analytical techniques to evaluate complex program objectives, cross-reference multi-million dollar budgets, and track high-visibility acquisition schedules. You will govern data management workflows and change control processes, providing vital decision support that directly impacts the readiness and lifecycle sustainability of naval aviation systems.
Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced qualitative and quantitative analytic techniques to evaluate high-level program/project objectives, identifying critical-path constraints and delivering actionable mitigation strategies.
- Critique and synthesize cross-functional requirements, execution statuses, budgets, and master schedules to provide comprehensive risk assessments to program leadership.
- Lead complex management, technical, or business case analyses to support structural program decisions, trade-off studies, and long-range acquisition strategies.
- Direct the collection, integration, organization, and translation of vast datasets spanning aircraft, weapons, project acquisition, and product sustainment programs.
- Enforce and optimize government-instituted processes for configuration change control management, official milestone documentation, and technical data management lifecycles.
- Establish tracking frameworks for overarching program milestones and schedules, authoring executive summaries and technical reports for senior military and civilian stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
- Master of Arts (MA) or Master of Science (MS) degree from an accredited institution.
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in program analysis, defense acquisition, or project management performing the functional duties described above.
- Elite analytical and predictive modeling capabilities, mastery of project management suites (e.g., MS Project, advanced Excel), and exceptional technical writing skills suitable for senior leadership review.
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years of direct experience supporting NAVAIR, with an established understanding of naval aviation program office (PMA) structures and operations.
