Manufacturing Engineer in Mabank, Texas at Galaxy Lifts

ENGINEER

Galaxy Lifts is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join as an Engineer. This role balances tactical execution with an understanding of overall product and engineering strategy to create layouts and drawings for innovative, safe and high-performing equipment used to elevate quality of life and improve mobility for our customers.

WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

• Create detailed manufacturing and layout drawings using CAD products and models, for use in vertical platform and cargo lift systems
• Assist in production of internal drawings, schematics, manuals, and specification sheets
• Assist in the creation and expansion of the capabilities of the Engineering team
• Develop understanding of common industry standards (ASTM, ANSI, ISO, AA)
• At times required to travel or attend site visits
• Research and provide product solutions and to our dealers and end-users
• Provide key role in New Product Design and Research and Development
• Test new products to verify design intent through simulated and/or destructive and non-destructive physical methods
• Work with Operations personnel to improve drawings, costs, and manufacturing methods
• Management of administrative systems including ERP, CRM, and PDM (NetSuite, HubSpot)
• Develop and give presentations to management teams (PowerPoint, Vizio)
• Initiate and maintain direct collaboration with vendors
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience required
• 2+ years of SolidWorks experience required, with AutoCAD and Inventor a plus
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment preferred, with construction industry exposure a plus
• Strong mechanical mindset with firm grasp of product development and project management
• Growth and entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for product development
• Highest standards of accuracy and precision in drafting, calculation, detailing and work product
• Comfortable interacting professionally with vendors, sales team, operations and customers
• Ability to multi-task, problem solve, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Local to Mabank-Athens, TX or willing to relocate
