Job Description
Family Location: 94086
A bit about us:
We are a warm, hardworking family of 4 who eagerly await the support of our future nanny for our twin babies. We value a calm home, good communication, and time outdoors. My husband loves cooking, making homemade pasta, and hiking. I love DIY projects, nature, and reading. We mostly speak Italian in our home, but we would like our nanny to speak English to our boys so they can benefit from hearing both languages. We’re fluent in English as well. My husband works from a home office and will not generally be available during care hours, and I (Mom) will transition back to working outside the home most of the time. We are excited to find someone who can become a trusted part of our family for the long term as our care needs grow.
Our 3-month-old twin boys are identical, but already show opposite personalities. One is a social butterfly who fights napping, and the other is an introvert who can entertain himself with a toy and sleep like a champ. They both respond best to a gentle and balanced presence.
A bit about you:
You are calm, serene, capable, and confident caring for two infants at once. You are comfortable multitasking, thinking quickly, and adapting when babies' needs or schedules change, while still helping the twins stay on a similar routine whenever possible. You enjoy reading to babies, getting outside for walks, and creating a peaceful, screen-free environment for development and play. You communicate clearly, respect each child's individual personality, and are comfortable following the parents' approach and also sharing helpful tips and tricks.
Job Duties:
Your focus will be attentive care for both infants, including feedings, diapering, naps, tummy time, playtime, reading, and a daily walk when weather allows. You will help keep the twins on a similar schedule while carefully tracking each baby's feedings, diapers, and naps in a notebook so their individual needs are easy to follow. During nap time, you will handle baby-related tasks such as loading and unloading the bottle sanitizer, washing and organizing bottles, completing baby laundry, and keeping the nursery and play areas tidy. No driving is required for this position, and cooking and grocery shopping are not expected, although occasional simple cooking is welcome if it is something you enjoy.
Position Highlights:
Qualifications:
10 years of nanny and/or daycare experience caring for infants and toddlers, with direct twin experience or experience caring for babies or siblings close in age, pediatric CPR certification is required or must be obtained, and fluency in English.
Set yourself apart:
Newborn Care Specialist experience, preschool teaching experience, or child development coursework would be wonderful additions to this role. The family especially appreciates a caregiver who is comfortable sharing helpful knowledge while remaining collaborative and respectful of their parenting approach. Availability to care for the babies when they are mildly ill is also a plus.
Schedule: Monday – Friday (8a-1p) for first 2-3 months and later Monday-Friday (8a-4p)
Part-time hours start ASAP!/Full-time hours start January 2027 and are ongoing.
Pay: $38-$45 per hour
**All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired.
