Job Description
We are seeking Wildlife Biologists of all experience levels—early career to senior—to support various projects across the country. Positions are available on a full-time, part-time, or oncall basis, with remote work options and potential field assignments depending on project needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interpretation and synthesis of large biological datasets.
- Identification of invasive species and federally/statelisted species across multiple U.S. regions.
- Development of natural resource management plans.
- Support for Endangered Species Act compliance, including consultations, biological assessments, and coordination with USFWS and NOAA Fisheries.
- Planning and conducting migratory bird and fauna surveys.
- Habitat restoration and monitoring activities.
- Participation in development of NEPA documentation, including Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology or a related field with 5+ years of experience, or 2+ years with a Master’s. Differing combinations of education and experience considered.
- Experience in scientific report writing.
- Knowledge of Department of Interior, Department of Agriculture, and/or DoD/DoW natural resource regulations a plus.
- Understanding of Federal, state, and/or local regulations and statutes.
- Experience with agency-specific systems and processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $52,000.00 - $110,000.00 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
