Position Summary
The Irrigation Foreman is a skilled role responsible for overseeing the installation and revamping of irrigation systems. As the customer-facing liaison, this position requires a higher level of experience in the field. Irrigation Foreman will guide team members, ensure high-quality installations, and manage communication between customers and the operations team. This role is perfect for motivated individuals looking to take the next step in their irrigation careers. Key Responsibilities
Installation and Revamp:
- Lead the installation of new irrigation systems, ensuring adherence to company standards, design specifications, and local codes.
- Oversee the revamping of existing irrigation systems, coordinating retrofitting with upgraded components.
- Ensure that all installations and modifications meet quality standards and system requirements.
Technical Skills Development:
- Mentor junior revamp/install technician in the fundamentals of irrigation system components, including points of connection, pipes, valves, controllers, sprinkler heads, drip lines, and micro irrigation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues that arise during installations.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Follow local, state, and federal regulations related to irrigation system installation and maintenance.
- Ensure proper maintenance and storage of tools and equipment to guarantee safety and compliance.
Customer Interaction:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, representing Sunrise Irrigation professionally.
- Communicate effectively with customers about irrigation system operations, maintenance, and project progress.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Enter job information into ServiceTitan and maintain accurate records of installation work, service reports, and inventory usage.
- Provide detailed reports to supervisors on completed tasks and any issues encountered.
- Utilize company technology and software for efficient documentation and communication.
Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate with team members and senior technicians to ensure successful project completion and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate job-specific information to technicians and maintain clear lines of communication with the operations manager and office regarding daily schedules and routes.
Professionalism and Conduct:
- Uphold Sunrise Irrigation’s values of integrity, reliability, and excellence in all work activities.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a can-do attitude, always seeking solutions and taking initiative to overcome challenges.
- Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including overtime as needed. Workdays are considered complete when all tasks are successfully completed, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
Continuous Learning:
- Actively seek opportunities for ongoing learning and skill development, including advanced certifications in irrigation system installation and maintenance.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to advance your career within the company.
Driving and Licensing Requirements:
- Maintain a valid driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
- Ensure the company vehicle is well-maintained and report any issues to the supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme weather.
- Physical demands of the job include standing, bending, lifting up to 75 lbs., and performing manual digging.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; relevant certifications preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in irrigation system installation and maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration and customer service.
- In-depth knowledge of irrigation system components and installation processes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and handle physical demands of the job.
