Job Summary:
Acts as a liaison between the Warehouse team and other departments, serving as a resource for problem-solving and issue resolution. Provides day-to-day guidance to team members by answering questions, demonstrating standard processes, troubleshooting operational issues, and providing direction, input, and feedback to associates while supporting the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager. Coordinates and executes daily warehouse activities to ensure workflow efficiency, productivity, and adherence to operational priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, guidelines, and regulations.
- Complete daily shift safety inspections.
- Maintain equipment logs and ensure equipment is properly safeguarded.
- Identify, address, and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
- Foster effective cross-functional communication across departments.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce cycle time.
- Lead productivity and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prioritize workload, manage time effectively, and organize daily operations.
- Motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance goals while promoting a positive work environment.
- Schedule, train, coach, and evaluate employees while setting clear performance expectations.
- Manage picking ticket distribution according to established procedures.
- Oversee order accuracy and coordinate workflow between the warehouse and production departments.
- Monitor and enforce cycle count procedures and inventory accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain inventory documentation to support audits and investigations.
- Send end-of-shift communication summarizing operational updates and key highlights.
- Manage special requests and ensure timely follow-up.
- Operate the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other logistics software.
- Provide desk clerk coverage as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment following 5S standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Dependable and self-motivated, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities to support team success.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage conflict and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- High level of initiative, sound decision-making skills, and a strong sense of urgency.
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and commitment to achieving results.
- Minimum of 3 years of logistics, warehouse, or shipping experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or team lead experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and shipping platforms.
- Experience with both domestic and international shipping operations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred, if applicable).
- Flexibility to work weekends and adjust schedules based on business needs.
