Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Center Supply Planning Lead based in the United States.
This is a high-impact role responsible for shaping supply planning across a rapidly expanding portfolio of data center infrastructure.
You will connect compute and accelerator supply, capacity targets, site pipelines, delivery schedules, and operational readiness into one integrated planning view.
Your work will directly influence which infrastructure opportunities are prioritized, how sites are configured, and how resources are allocated.
You will build forecasts, scenarios, and planning mechanisms that internal teams and external partners can confidently execute against.
The role sits at the intersection of supply chain, infrastructure delivery, technical program management, engineering, and demand planning.
You will operate in a fast-moving, highly cross-functional environment where strong analytical thinking, systems design, and influence are essential.
This is an opportunity to build scalable planning processes and tools that support the growth of next-generation AI infrastructure.
- Build and maintain an integrated data center supply forecast covering committed and pipeline capacity by site, design, accelerator type, and delivery tranche against evolving growth targets.
- Establish and continuously refine the planning assumptions, models, and frameworks that underpin the infrastructure supply portfolio.
- Support recurring portfolio reviews by providing a clear view of supply status, key decisions, risks, dependencies, and downstream impacts.
- Partner with technical program management, delivery, and demand planning teams to keep hall readiness, installation plans, accelerator supply, and delivery schedules synchronized.
- Develop scenarios to evaluate the impact of changes to delivery dates, accelerator tranches, capacity targets, or other planning assumptions, and develop analytical solutions to close identified gaps.
- Determine which long-lead resources should be held in inventory to create strategic flexibility and establish principles for how those resources should be allocated.
- Define and improve the process through which new data center sites enter delivery tracking and ensure schedule changes are communicated effectively across downstream teams.
- Help establish and evolve a delivery planning system of record, partnering with internal tooling teams to translate planning requirements into scalable systems and workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement across supply planning processes, cadence, data quality, forecasting, and portfolio management practices.
- Proactively identify supply risks, constraints, and opportunities across functions and influence cross-functional partners toward timely resolution.
- Translate complex planning analysis into clear recommendations that support infrastructure investment, prioritization, and operational decisions.
- Demonstrated experience leading supply planning, capacity planning, or portfolio management for data centers, power infrastructure, or similarly capital-intensive environments.
- Strong understanding of the full data center build lifecycle, including acquisition, design, sourcing, construction, commissioning, and deployment.
- Proven experience architecting supply planning processes and establishing operating cadences with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience redesigning delivery, deployment, or infrastructure planning processes at scale and demonstrating measurable improvements.
- Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, including experience building planning models, scenarios, forecasting tools, allocation frameworks, or optimization solutions.
- Ability to develop automated planning tools and workflows, including leveraging AI-assisted development where appropriate.
- Experience proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities across multiple functions and driving resolution through influence.
- Strong track record of achieving outcomes through collaboration with technical, operational, and business stakeholders.
- Experience in capacity planning, S&OP, supply chain, operations research, deployment planning, or optimization is highly valuable.
- Experience defining requirements for and helping establish an internal planning system of record is preferred.
- Experience producing detailed forecasts that external infrastructure or supply partners use to plan their own activities is a strong advantage.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex planning concepts into clear decisions and actionable plans.
- Annual salary range of $320,000–$405,000 USD.
- Competitive compensation and benefits designed to support employees' professional and personal wellbeing.
- Hybrid work environment, with employees currently expected to work from one of the company's offices at least 25% of the time; some roles may require additional in-office presence.
- Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates, with immigration support provided when sponsorship can be successfully arranged.
- Flexible working hours.
- Generous vacation and parental leave.
- Optional equity donation matching.
- Collaborative office environment designed to support in-person connection and teamwork.
- Opportunity to work on high-impact AI infrastructure and large-scale data center expansion.
- Inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives, strong communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Opportunity to build planning systems and operating frameworks supporting the rapid scaling of advanced AI infrastructure.
