KARM Stores is looking for a Seasonal Recruiter! This role is responsible for a variety of duties related to the recruitment, screening, hiring & placement, onboarding & retention of applicants for assigned KARM Stores locations. They will coordinate the screening of incoming applications, interview and place new hires in departments in need. They will also be responsible for facilitating the onboarding of new team members and coordinate and execute all retention efforts for their region.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

    Manage recruiting activity for assigned stores, departments, or regionsReview applications and move qualified candidates through the hiring processConduct candidate outreach by phone, email, text, and other approved platformsComplete initial candidate screenings to evaluate qualifications, availability, and job fitCoordinate phone, virtual, and in-person interviews with hiring leadersMaintain timely follow-up with applicants and deliver a positive candidate experiencePartner with store and department leaders to understand staffing needs and hiring prioritiesMonitor open requisitions and candidate pipelines to support hiring efficiencySupport hiring events, job fairs, community recruiting efforts, and store-based hiring initiativesAssist with job posting updates and maintain accurate advertisement content in recruiting systemsDocument candidate activity and hiring progress accurately in approved systems

Onboarding & Orientation Responsibilities

    Support the onboarding process from offer acceptance through first-day readinessCommunicate with new hires regarding orientation details, required documents, start dates, and first-day instructionsAssist with new hire paperwork, onboarding steps, and system readinessCoordinate or facilitate portions of orientation as assignedTrack onboarding completion and follow up on missing items or barriers to startPartner with HR and leadership teams to help create a smooth transition from candidate to employeeSupport early retention efforts by helping new hires feel prepared, welcomed, and connected

What We’re Looking For

Qualified candidates will typically have:

    Experience in recruiting, staffing, talent acquisition, onboarding, HR support, or a related fieldStrong communication and relationship-building skillsExcellent organization and time management skillsThe ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and professionalismStrong follow-through and attention to detailThe ability to handle sensitive information with confidentialityComfort using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and hiring or HR systemsExperience in retail, nonprofit, high-volume hiring, or multi-location recruiting is preferredAssociate’s degree or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered


Work Environment & Schedule

This is a full-time hourly seasonal position. The regular schedule is generally Monday through Friday during business hours, though occasional evening or weekend availability may be needed for hiring events, outreach efforts, or business needs. Local travel to stores and hiring events may also be required. This role will primarily support hiring efforts for our seasonal Christmas stores and help with other hiring and team needs.
