Senior Full Stack Engineer

About Master Tour

Master Tour is the industry-leading platform for live event and tour management, trusted by touring professionals, artists, managers, production teams, and crew to coordinate the complex logistics behind exceptional live experiences. Built by and for the people who power live entertainment, Master Tour serves as the operational backbone for modern touring, bringing together schedules, contacts, travel, production details, venue information, and real-time coordination across desktop and mobile. Master Tour is evolving beyond a system of record into an intelligent workflow platform for the live events industry, helping professionals work from shared truth, move faster, reduce friction, and focus on delivering memorable experiences.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help deliver the next generation of Master Tour. This role comes with a high degree of autonomy and ownership: you will be trusted to define and drive your own work with very little handholding, setting direction rather than following a prescribed playbook.

This role spans our API and services layer, our data model, and the desktop, mobile, and web clients our customers use on the road, and you will own features end to end across that whole path.We are in the middle of a deliberate platform modernization: standing up a modern orchestration layer, retiring legacy services, and opening the platform to partners through our Partnerships API. You will build the patterns the rest of the team follows, and you will do it without disrupting the tours running on the platform today.

This is an ideal opportunity for a senior engineer who thrives with ownership and ambiguity, prefers owning a problem to being handed a decomposed ticket, and wants their work visible to customers immediately. If you like taking a problem and running with it, this role is built for you.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain high-quality features end to end — data model, API surface, business logic, and client implementation

  • Build on our orchestration layer and Partnerships API, establishing patterns and standards for integration work

  • Lead technical design discussions for new initiatives and contribute to architectural direction

  • Own complex projects from concept through delivery, including the migration path off legacy services

  • Review code and provide constructive feedback to ensure high standards of quality, performance, and maintainability

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, SDET, and other engineers to translate requirements into robust solutions

  • Improve application reliability, performance, and scalability across server and client platforms

  • Mentor and support other engineers through pairing, reviews, and knowledge sharing

  • Contribute to defining engineering best practices, tooling, and processes

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent)

  • Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript across both server and client code

  • Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and the services behind them

  • Experience with a modern front-end framework (React preferred) and comfort working in a component-driven codebase

  • Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling for evolving domains

  • Experience with server-side PHP (Laravel or similar frameworks)

  • Experience working in Git-based workflows (Bitbucket) and participating in structured code reviews

  • Demonstrated ownership of features from design through production support

  • Comfortable working in a startup or fast-paced environment

  • Experience leading or mentoring engineers

Nice to Have
  • Experience building or maintaining complex Electron applications

  • Experience developing mobile applications using React Native

  • Experience modernizing legacy systems and running incremental migrations in production

  • Experience designing partner-facing or public APIs, including versioning and authentication concerns

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure

  • Experience with automated testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end)

  • Exposure to performance tuning and observability tools

  • Experience with offline-first or intermittent-connectivity applications

Salary Range & Description
We offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 – $170,000 USD. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
Benefits + Perks

We want our team to feel supported at work and beyond. Our benefits include:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Unlimited PTO
  • In-office lunch every Tuesday
  • Short-term disability and life insurance
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Discounts for various other benefits, such as pet insurance

We’re committed to creating an environment where people can do great work while having the benefits and flexibility to take care of themselves and their families.
