This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP IBP Consultant based in India.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a major SAP IBP transformation project supporting complex manufacturing and supply planning operations.
You will help extend an existing SAP IBP Response & Supply planning model across internal manufacturing sites and external OEM partners.
The role combines hands-on configuration, solution optimization, testing, integration support, and business collaboration.
You will work closely with planners, business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams in a collaborative international environment.
Your expertise will directly contribute to improving supply visibility, deployment planning, and end-to-end planning efficiency.
The position offers exposure to advanced SAP IBP capabilities, including Order-Based Planning, Real-Time Integration, heuristics, and optimization.
This is a remote contract opportunity suited to an experienced SAP Supply Chain Planning professional who enjoys solving complex planning challenges.
- Configure, enhance, and support SAP IBP Response & Supply solutions within an established planning environment.
- Support the rollout of supply planning processes across internal manufacturing facilities and external OEM networks.
- Configure and optimize Supply Planning, Deployment Planning, and Transport Load Builder (TLB) Planning using both Heuristics and Optimizer approaches.
- Contribute to the implementation and adoption of Order-Based Planning capabilities across the planning landscape.
- Support end-to-end testing activities, including test preparation, execution, defect analysis, resolution, and validation.
- Participate in go-live preparation and post-go-live support to ensure stable adoption of the solution.
- Work closely with business users, supply planners, solution architects, and technical teams to translate planning requirements into effective SAP IBP solutions.
- Support master data activities and investigate integration-related issues affecting planning processes.
- Contribute to SAP IBP integration with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA using Real-Time Integration (RTI).
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, solution performance, usability, and overall supply chain effectiveness.
- 6+ years of professional experience in SAP Supply Chain Planning, with strong expertise in SAP IBP.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP IBP Response & Supply, particularly Order-Based Planning.
- Good practical knowledge of Real-Time Integration (RTI) and experience troubleshooting integration scenarios.
- Experience configuring and optimizing Supply Planning, Deployment Planning, and TLB Planning, covering both Heuristics and Optimizer.
- At least one end-to-end SAP IBP Response & Supply implementation or transformation project.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing, supply planning, deployment, and related supply chain processes.
- Experience integrating SAP IBP with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA through RTI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate planning and integration issues effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working directly with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, international project environment while maintaining strong collaboration and accountability.
