As a Principal Business Value Consultant, you will help customers quantify and realize the measurable business impact of technology solutions. You will work at the intersection of customer success, sales, engineering, product, and financial strategy. The role combines value consulting with hands-on automation, data analysis, and emerging AI capabilities. You will build sophisticated business cases, track realized outcomes, and translate technical capabilities into compelling executive-level financial narratives. Your work will directly support adoption, retention, expansion, and long-term customer relationships. This is an opportunity to establish scalable value management practices within a high-growth technology environment while helping customers achieve tangible business outcomes.
- Partner with post-sale and account teams to validate customer outcomes, quantify realized value, and identify opportunities to increase adoption, retention, cross-sell, and expansion.
- Develop forward- and backward-looking business cases and scenario models that demonstrate financial ROI and strategic value for new opportunities and account expansions.
- Lead the end-to-end value management lifecycle, from pre-sale business case development through post-sale value realization and ongoing measurement.
- Translate complex product capabilities, technical benefits, and usage data into concise financial narratives focused on cost savings, revenue growth, productivity, and risk reduction.
- Build repeatable automations, scripts, dashboards, and interactive tools that streamline ROI modeling, value tracking, and executive reporting.
- Apply modern technologies, including AI agents and rapid application development, to improve the scalability and efficiency of value consulting programs.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to quantify the value of new capabilities, strengthen value messaging, and enable internal teams with value creation best practices.
- Establish methodologies and reporting frameworks that demonstrate the relationship between value consulting, customer adoption, retention, and expansion pipeline.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior and executive stakeholders, building confidence in the financial and strategic impact of technology investments.
- 5+ years of experience in Value Realization, Value Engineering, Customer Success Management, Business Value Consulting, or a related discipline within high-growth technology or SaaS environments.
- Bachelor's degree required; an MBA or advanced technical or business degree is preferred.
- Demonstrated success using post-sale outcome delivery and value realization to drive customer adoption, cross-sell, upsell, or expansion opportunities.
- Strong command of business case and financial modeling frameworks, including ROI, NPV, IRR, Payback, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Hands-on experience with basic coding, scripting, and automation, with the ability to build repeatable tools that improve the efficiency of value analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with AI agents and rapid web application development, such as Streamlit, is a strong advantage.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex technology and product capabilities into clear business cases for C-suite and executive audiences.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving capabilities, combined with a customer-first mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Product, and Marketing.
- On-target earnings: $200,000–$235,000 USD, including base pay and commissions.
