Job Description

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Sustain Management Systems to ensure effectiveness and compliance to the IATF 16949 standard.
  2. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives that will improve key performance metrics, product quality, process capability, process control, and customer satisfaction.
  3. Achieve results through effective utilization of strategy deployment, lean manufacturing, 8D root cause analysis, PFMEA, and policy deployment.
  4. Facilitate problem-solving with cross-functional teams to determine root cause.
  5. Manage and participate in preventive and corrective action activities, challenging the team to consistently implement accurate and effective solutions that address root cause.
  6. Collect and analyze data, track and report metrics to develop and execute detailed action plans.
  7. Manage issues to completion and audit to verify effectiveness and compliance.
  8. Serve as the site representative with customers, suppliers, and auditors.
  9. Assist in development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of Management System, including document control, internal audits and corrective actions.
  10. Utilize core tools including APQP, SPC, FMEA, MSA to ensure robust production processes.
  11. Participate in continuous improvement activities to reduce PPM, total cost of quality, & improve manufacturability.
  12. Develop inspection methods, gages and be a key resource in optimizing inspection equipment utilization.
  13. Verify adherence to quality standards, procedures and product requirements.
  14. Share knowledge of core tools and applicable continuous improvement methods with floor personnel (SPC, MSA, etc.).
  15. Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's Degree preferred in Engineering or related technical field
  2. Analytical problem-solving skills with proven mechanical aptitude
  3. Experience with IATF 16949.
  4. Use of spreadsheet tools for Quality and Production Data analysis.
  5. Ability to work directly with cross-functional teams and Quality staff to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  6. Understands process stability and demonstrates systemic thinking.
  7. Demonstrates high initiative and proactive thinking.
  8. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  9. Ability to travel domestically and internationally at least annually.
