Caregiver (In-Home Care) – Blackfoot, IDAbout the Role

Happy to Help Caregiving is hiring dependable, compassionate caregivers to serve clients throughout Blackfoot, Firth, Moreland, Springfield, Shelley, and surrounding communities.

As a caregiver, you'll provide one-on-one, non-medical support that helps seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities continue living safely and comfortably in their own homes. Every shift is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

We're looking for caring individuals who enjoy building relationships, showing compassion, and providing dependable support. Whether you're experienced or new to caregiving, we'll provide the guidance and support you need to succeed.

What You'll Do

Based on each client's individualized care plan, responsibilities may include:

  • Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
  • Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
  • Preparing meals and snacks while encouraging proper nutrition and hydration
  • Performing light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, changing linens, and maintaining a clean, safe home
  • Providing medication reminders (no handling or administering medications)
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers, repositioning, walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices
  • Providing transportation for appointments, errands, grocery shopping, and approved outings
  • Offering respite care to support family caregivers
  • Documenting care provided and communicating any changes or concerns to the office
  • Respecting each client's routines, preferences, independence, and privacy while providing compassionate care

Our caregivers are trusted members of each client's care team and are expected to provide dependable, respectful, and professional service during every visit.

Qualifications

We're seeking individuals who are compassionate, reliable, and committed to providing exceptional care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Kind, patient, trustworthy, and professional attitude
  • Ability to follow written and verbal care instructions
  • Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred

  • Previous caregiving, home care, healthcare, CNA, or customer service experience

No caregiving experience is required. We value compassion, dependability, and a willingness to learn.

Position Details
  • Location: Blackfoot, Firth, Moreland, Shelley, Springfield, and surrounding communities
  • Schedule: Flexible full-time, part-time, evening, and weekend shifts available
  • Setting: One-on-one care in clients' homes
