Job Summary / Essential Functions

• Performs and interprets routine diagnostic assays on blood and body fluids,
• Performs all duties related to the preparation, identification, and testing of specimens,
• Performs all related documentation tasks,
• Provides technical guidance non-certified staff, new employees and students,
• Assists supervisor with administrative tasks for the section,
• Performs additional tasks as requested,

Education

• Has education and experience equivalent to the guidelines mandated by CMS in the Clinical Lab Improvement Act CLIA of 1988 and NJSDH requirements,
• Bachelor s in medical technology or Associates with qualifying bachelor level coursework and certification by a category 1 agency such as ASCP, NCA, AMT, HIS/HEW,
