Apartment Make Ready Technician in Clute, Texas at HK Property Management California Inc

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Make-Ready / Maintenance Technician to join our apartment community. This position is responsible for preparing vacant apartments for new residents and assisting with general property maintenance.

Responsibilities
Complete apartment make-readies and prepare units for new residents
Interior painting and touch-ups
Drywall patching and minor repairs
General plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and leaks
General/basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, light fixtures, and troubleshooting
Install and repair appliances
Replace locks, door hardware, blinds, fixtures, and other unit items
Caulking and other finishing work
Complete maintenance work orders as needed
Inspect completed units to ensure they are clean, functional, and ready for move-in
Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements
Previous apartment make-ready or maintenance experience preferred
Must have general plumbing and basic electrical knowledge
Must be able to work independently and complete units on schedule
Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
Must be available for on-call maintenance emergencies
Must be able to communicate professionally with residents and management
