We're hiring a Corporate Functional Manager, Machining to provide enterprise-wide leadership for machining and sawing operations across our manufacturing facilities.
This highly visible role is responsible for developing machining strategy, operational standards, technical capability, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. You'll work closely with Plant Managers and functional leaders to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and capacity while supporting future growth.
This role supports operations in Spring Grove, IL, Franklin Park, IL, and Clinton, WI, and may be based at any of these locations.

What You'll Own
- Enterprise-wide machining and sawing strategy, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and capacity performance across machining operations
- Development of machining leadership, technical talent, and operational best practices
- Capital planning, equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, and manufacturing technology strategies
What You'll Do
- Lead machining and sawing operations across multiple facilities through servant leadership
- Develop and implement standardized machining processes, CNC programming practices, and operating procedures
- Partner with Plant Managers and cross-functional teams to improve throughput, machine utilization, reliability, and overall performance
- Develop leaders and technical talent through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and skills development
- Drive continuous improvement, automation opportunities, capital investments, and technology advancements
- Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for machining, sawing, CNC programming, and related manufacturing technologies
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of machining, CNC manufacturing, metalworking, or related manufacturing experience
- Experience leading machining operations, manufacturing teams, or technical organizations
- Strong preference for experience in heavy manufacturing, forged products, steel, metals, aerospace, defense, or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining, sawing, programming concepts, tooling, blueprint reading, and GD&T
- Proven success leading operational improvement, developing technical talent, and driving organizational change
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence results across multiple facilities
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
