Warehouse Manager - Inventory Specialist + Data Entry
Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient HVAC and Plumbing Warehouse Manager to oversee operations within our warehouse. This position requires a lot of computer work so experience in data entry, excel, service titan, and sage software are a major plus!
The ideal candidate will have experience in modern warehousing practices, excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage inventory and logistics efficiently.
This role requires solid capability to execute tasks within multiple systems for inventory and material management. Strong Excel skills are a must to manage materials and process improvements within those systems.
This role requires someone who can handle purchase orders, manage material receipts, and operate a forklift, all while ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations: Oversee all daily operations within the warehouse, ensuring that inventory is properly received, stored, and distributed in a timely manner.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, manage stock levels, and conduct regular audits to ensure that inventory is accounted for and in good condition.
Execute cycle counts and physical inventories on a weekly and quarterly basis respectfully. Develop action plans to address deficiencies and show continuous improvement.
Order & Process Management: Ensure proper and accurate material flow from purchase order management, receiving, transferring and invoicing to maintain inventory accuracy. Purchasing sourcing to obtain best pricing and material arrival for optimal job costing.
Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Ensure all forklift operations comply with safety standards.
Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a small team of warehouse workers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Organizational Skills: Implement and maintain efficient storage solutions, ensuring that the warehouse is organized and that materials are easily accessible. Maintain efficient system usage and optimize item masters and pricing.
Time Management: Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, ensuring that all warehouse operations are completed within deadlines.
Safety Compliance: Ensure that the warehouse operates in compliance with all safety regulations and that all employees adhere to safety protocols.
Reporting: Generate and submit reports on inventory levels, material receipts, and warehouse operations to management as required. Strong Excel skills for managing data analysis and effectiveness with inventory as well as Service Titan and Sage software for computer portion. This requires a good bit of skill within computer software.
Vehicle Operations: Must have a valid driver’s license to occasionally transport materials or make deliveries as needed.
Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably within the plumbing or construction industry. Strong computer system and Excel capability to manage inventory accuracy and effectiveness.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training or certification in warehouse management or logistics is a plus.
Required Skills:
Familiarity with modern warehousing practices, systems and methods.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to operate a forklift and a valid forklift operator certification.
Proficiency in inventory management software and solid computer skills.
Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed and stand for extended periods.
