About Happy to Help Caregiving

Happy to Help Caregiving provides compassionate, non-medical in-home care that helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they know best: home. We support families through companionship, personal care, respite care, and veteran-focused services, always with an emphasis on dignity, respect, and dependable support. Our goal is to provide care that feels personal, professional, and responsive to each client’s unique needs, preferences, and daily routines.

At Happy to Help, we believe great care is built on trust, consistency, and meaningful human connection. Our caregivers play an essential role in helping clients maintain quality of life at home while offering families peace of mind and reliable support. We are proud to build local care teams that show up with kindness, professionalism, and heart, and we value caregivers who are committed to making a real difference in the lives of others every day.

About the Role

As a caregiver in Rigby, Idaho, you'll provide one-on-one support in clients' homes, helping them maintain their independence while receiving the care and assistance they need. Every client has unique needs, and every day offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through compassionate, dependable care.

What You'll Do

Depending on the client's needs and individualized care plan, your daily duties may include:

  • Providing companionship and meaningful engagement through conversation, activities, and emotional support
  • Assisting with personal care needs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene support
  • Preparing meals and snacks according to client preferences, dietary needs, or care plan instructions, and providing feeding support if needed
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, tidying common areas, taking out trash, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment
  • Providing medication reminders in accordance with the care plan (no handling or administering of medications)
  • Assisting with mobility, repositioning, and safe transfers, including the use of walkers, wheelchairs, or other mobility aids
  • Providing transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, grocery shopping, or other approved outings
  • Providing respite care support to give family caregivers a needed break while ensuring continuity of care
  • Following all care instructions, documenting shift activity appropriately, and communicating any changes in the client's condition or needs to the office promptly
  • Supporting each client's independence, personal preferences, daily routines, and overall well-being with professionalism and respect

You will help create a safe, respectful, and positive experience for every client by showing up on time, following care plan instructions, maintaining professional boundaries, and treating every home you enter with care and respect.

Qualifications

We're looking for caregivers who are compassionate, dependable, professional, and genuinely committed to providing high-quality, person-centered care. Ideal candidates bring strong communication skills, good judgment, a positive attitude, and a real desire to help others.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Kind, patient, trustworthy, and respectful demeanor
  • Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions accurately
  • Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks and physical mobility support
  • Strong communication skills — able to interact professionally with clients, families, and office staff
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
  • Prior caregiving experience is a plus, but not required — what matters most is your character, your work ethic, and your willingness to learn

Success in this role requires consistency, accountability, respect for client preferences and privacy, and the ability to provide care that honors each client's dignity, independence, and trust.
